Leipzig, 9 May 2015. The LFPI Group, an independent international multi-asset manager with more than 3 billion euros of assets under management, has acquired a property in Leipzig via FLE GmbH, its subsidiary specialized on commercial real estate. With this transaction, LFPI Group increased its existing real estate portfolio to a total of 49 properties in Germany and Austria. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price and other details of the transaction.
The “Atrium” building acquired in Leipzig is a well-preserved office and commercial property at the address Kohlgartenstraße 11-13 built in 1993. The six-story property with a rentable area of 22,266 square meters has a total of 424 parking spaces (underground and outdoor). Additionally, there are a fitness club on two levels as well as a restaurant for employees on the ground floor. The main tenant of the property is a global outsourcing (call center and web service).
The transaction marks a continuation of the strategy of LFPI’s commercial real specialist FLE and is the company’s first investment in Germany this year. Dr. Alexander Klafsky, managing director of FLE GmbH, explained: “Leipziq is a highly attractive real estate market.” Klafsky added: “We continue to see many attractive investment opportunities in line with our strategy – centrally located and proven multi-tenant structure. We are confident to conclude further transactions in 2015.”
